Dear American Bloggers,
Well, people can complain and complain, and be as ungrateful as they want about living in the US, but thank God, at least we have the freedom of speech to post whatever we feel like on our blogs. In China, to make it through their tough internet censors, bloggers are using techniques like writing their posts backwards. Apparently, the Chinese government is being especially intolerant of free speech because of the Olympics.

My friend Chris who studied abroad in Singapore and traveled to China last year said that dealing with censorship was just a part of life over there. He said it was pretty easy for people to use another browser to view whatever site they wanted, but I can see how people would be hesitant to get in trouble with the government by posting controversial news and opinions.
